I'm with Joe Torre in that I think many times it's a crap shoot. If you have solid starting pitching, you increase your odds though. I think we have solid starting pitching when healthy. I think if Omar really thought by adding a premier bat, it would put this team over the top, he would decimate the farm. It's a win now world. Not as much as the NFL, but I would gladly take a World Series this year at the expense of needing to rebuild the farm for the next few years. I’m completely fine with not making a move either.
