here is my early impression of the youngsters:
i am a seller of nick evans. he has the deer in the headlight look. i don’t see how someone said “he is a 20/80 guy”

This Murphy kid on the other hand can be something special. he reminds me a little of chase utley.
Lets be honest. Even if the mets win the division, they are not as good as the cubs or brewers. Lets build for 2009. you have 3 pitchers signed for next year. Lets see how this kid Neise does. I say lets give Heilman a shot for a spot next year. He can’t be any worse than he is right now. Maybe he can be a Braden Looper. Who knows. I am not a fan of getting Teixeria. He will cost close to 20 a year for 4-5 years. Are there any good 3rd basemen who will be a free agent? Maybe we can sign one and move David Wright to 1st.

The play of the team is probably affecting me because it’s actually pointless to argue over whether a trade should or should not have been made. We can’t change history and all we can do is hope for the best.

1. Playoff revenue is significant.

2. SNY income depends on advertising revue that depends on ratings that in turn depends on the popularity of the ball club. The relatively small number of hardcore fans will always be there but the large number of band wagon fans tuning into SNY has a great impact on the ratings.

Of course I’m serious, this team is awful, I east we will have an excuse, beside, Pascucci will not be worst than Evans, and Hernandez has some ML experience, he hit like 298 in about 150 bats or so.
