I am aware of that. I thought it was obvious that he would be signed to play the outfield, as he has done for his entire career. Perhaps I should be more clear in the future.

Well, we obviously need another outfielder, and Bonds would only cost money. He can hit better than any available player, and it will not cost Fernando Martinez to get him. But that’s okay. Let’s waste time trying to get Aurilia. That’s a much better plan.

If Barry Bonds is not wanted by every MLB team, including the mets, what makes you think the Mets want to go out there and sign Barry Bonds. Even they don’t want him.

Whats he gonna cost though? If they send a nobody for him fine. I think we need to get Murphy alot of AB’s anyway. He seems like the real deal.

What’s the big deal? The rosters expand to 40 in September anyway and it gives us another veteran for depth during the stretch run month. Besides, I’d rather have Aurilia than Nick Evans right now.

I live out here by San Fran and Aurilla is probably just as, if not more banged up then Castillo. He can barely run the basepaths anymore as evident by his runs scored this year. No thanks.
