Pelfrey didnt pitch well, Mota was a headache, Glavine was not sharp at all, and Mets have the 5th starter question mark all of that season. yes while Santana will upgrade any pitching staff, Heilman still has big .era, Scotty pitched better from 2007, Feliciano wasnt better compared to last year and neither was Smith compared to his first half from 2007. the Mets are 4th in the NL in pitching with Brian and Castro behind the plate and that is with a up and down Maine and Perez, a bad Heilman, and a declining Pedro and great pitching by Pelfrey. think about that.
