Fernando has yet to play a full season in the minors, much less put up consitent numbers. He strikes out WAY too much and isn't getting on base enough. I would love to see the guy in LF next year, and we just may, but not when this team breaks camp. Just because he wasn't traded this past July 31 doesn't mean that is "guaranteed" to be the starter. Corner OF positions are normally the easiest spots on a field to replace. If Omar thinks he can plug LF with someone else for a year, he will. Martinez obviously needs to develop more.
