Prior to today’s game, Jerry Manuel told reporters that Ryan Church will return to the Mets tomorrow night, just as the Daily News reported would happen this morning.

According to Manuel, he will likely start Church in right field on Friday and Saturday, while giving him the day off on Sunday.

Hate to be a skeptic, but we’ll see how long he stays. This sort of an injury seems like one in which everyone just has to see how things unfold.

Thats some good news. Hopefully he can comeback and help this team win the division. I know he is not the pitcher we need but every little bit counts.

Wonder where 911 is, he is pretty close to being absolutely 100% wrong.

Welcome back! Here’s Roy Oswalt for you!

Awesome news. If he is anywhere close to where he was in the 1st half, this is almost like trading for a great player late in the year. It also makes the Mets a better defensive team and puts Chavez back on the bench making that stronger. As long as we give him the appropriate rest and he doesn’t go in head first to second base, this is a big help.
