As noted yesterday…
On Tuesday, August 26, SNY will host a Mets Viewing Party at the Hawaiian Tropic Zone on 7th Ave and 49th Street in New York City, for the first of two games between the Mets and Phillies.
In addition to televising the game, SNY will be giving away 1,000 Mets tickets during the event.
The next night, Wednesday, August 27, for Game 2, I’ll be hosting a MetsBlog Night at Butterfield 8 in Manhattan, located at 5 E. 38th Street, between Fifth and Madison.
Butterfield 8 will be offering a $30 drink special, which includes an open bar of beer, wine and house mix drinks from first pitch to last pitch.

Im goin on wednesday right from work and bringin a bunch of buddies with me. im going to go out an buy an orange dress shirt that way i can wear my jersey over it haha
$30 from first pitch to last pitch? Let’s pray for a 15 inning Mets win. I’d like to see the winning run come one of two ways:
1) A 40 foot dribbler with the bases loaded that just stays fair, with Reyes aggressively stomping on home and clapping his hands in the direction of the Phillies dugout (a la Victorino).
2) A successfully exectued take out slide that breaks up a double play that allows a run to score.
I want a meet-up in D.C.!
anyone ever been to hawaiian tropic zone? curios what its like
i wonder if they’re going to have the bikini contest that night…
I was just there last Saturday night actually. It’s a bit pricey but the girls there are great to look at. The dances the girls did during our meals were like a strip show…should be fun!!
Any Mets fans who live in the Philadelphia area getting together at a local watering hole?
I call for a DC meetup at 51st State. 10 cent wings Tuesday night and $3 Magic Hats Wednesday. Plus I doubt any loser Yankee fans are showing their faces these days…
Hey, lets actually have a meet-up in Queens? We keep hearing discover queens commercials, but all these PR meetings and announcements happen in times square.
Matt, why dont you have this stuff with danceing girls and models in flushing, or maybe bayside or isirhtown where all the great bars are?
Keep it in Queens!
Does anybody know if you have to purchase tickets to the HTZ thing in advance? Or do you just show up to the thing? I’m definetely trying to go to at least one of those events.
