can the mets trade castillo back to FLA for Uggla…he is one of their big contracts they will look to move in the winter.

let the platoon ride out the year, then with easley another year wiser, reyes can be the sub in for uggla, who will start at 2b for 145 games in the new shea…LGM.

And the great thing about that stat is that they’re all home grown mets, with Pelfrey coming into his own this season.

As for Castillo, i really don’t wanna see him on the team. We’re doing so well with Reyes and Easley that i don’t want to see that get messed up just becuz we gave him that stupid contract. If Murphy and Evans hadn’t been doing so well i would have said we should trade Castillo to Arizona this offseason for Eric Byrnes. Trade 2 guys who had their season cut short by injuries and are signed for a couple more years. But i can’t help but get excited for how well these guys are playing. Especially Murphy.

It’s an odd stat but point taken anyway. The kids are leading the way. Are the stars going to stay aligned? Who knows but it’s fun to see so far!!!

there’s like a .0001% chance of Pelfrey leading the league in wins. He’s got 7 starts left, at most, which even if he wins all of them gets him to 19, tying him with what Brandon Webb has right now. All Webb needs to do is win one more game to clinch that (at least in regards to Pelfrey)

if big pelf runs off 7-8 wins and wright picks up some more rbis we can lead the league, let alone the team, in those 3 cat.

PS: lets keep Castillo off the field, Omar. The lids are working and keeping it going.

Reyes/Easley combo are better, no matter what Cohen flings our way < 500 times a game about Castillo.

Pretty sure that’s supposed to be “AND” runs scored. Just from our own franchise, Tom Seaver and David Cone both were under 25 and led the team in wins when they went to the postseason, and Wright and Reyes led the team in RBI and Runs respectively in 2006. So I’m pretty sure it’s that all 3 haven’t happened in the same season…
