how do you know when to finish? you finished in exact one minute. nice work!
That’s what she said!
ba-dum-dum
Good timing Matt. You’re getting good at this!
You’re right Matt. We can go one of two ways from here on out: Either live or die with every loss and give ourselves heart attacks, or just know every night will be an adventure and take it with a grain of salt. But I have to admit if the Mets fall more than a couple games behind the Phillies, my blood pressure will go through the roof. Hayyyuuuuge series coming up in Philly!!!!!
A split would be alright with the Phils this week (not that I don’t want them to take the two games), the series next weekend is a lot bigger.
Matt:
Dont be so quick to give the wild card to the the Brewers/Cubs.
First, the Mets and Phillies each play 4 games against each of the Brewers and Cubs.
Second, the Brewers plat the Cubs 6 times.
Third, the Cubs play the Cardinals 6 more times.
At the end of the day, the wild card is very much in play.
The Cubs, Brewers, and Cardinals all have the best 3 records in the NL. We have a better shot at the AL Wild Card.
Sorry,
The Brewers also play the Cardinals twice.
And the Cardinals play
the AZ Diamond backs 7 more times, and
the Marlins 3 more times.
Cubs are a lock for the postseason. Brewers seem somewhat vunrable though, and have a tough september schedule. But I wouldn’t count on the Mets taking the wild card. It’s NL East or nothing for the Mets at this point. I wouldn’t completely count them out of the WC though.
The only thing I’m surprised about is why the hell anyone ever throws Pedro Feliz a fastball.
The Dodgers are retarded they had bases loaded w/ nobody out and they couldn’t get the run in, and that Broxton retard couldn’t throw a strike.
People say the mets won’t make the playoffs there an awful team everytime we lose
Everytime The mets win those same people say the mets will make the world series.
So those people need to calm down and think.1 Loss does not mean ur season is over or 1 win does not mean ur world series bound. So calm down get some popcorn and enjoy the rest of the season
It’s kinda hard to relax after what happened last season, I will be extremely disappointed if the Phils take the division again. The Mets have to play hard in September.
Matt,
These segments are fantastic. Very well produced and entertaining. One constructive piece of criticism (something that really bugs me when I’m filming) is to cut down on the constant hand movement. Other than that – it’s great, imo.
If we split against the Phils and take 2 of 3 from the Marlins the team will be a nice position heading into September. The Brewers followed by the Phillies is a rough way to start the month, but after that we have Atlanta and Washington for TWELVE straight games. Then of course we get 4 with the Cubs and the final 3 against Florida. If they can go something around 15-10 next month (putting them at 91 wins if they close this month out at 3-2) they should be able to take the division, unless Philly were to go on some absurd hot streak. Regardless, it should be a close, exciting race.
As a matter of pride, I hope the team wins the division. Hopefully Beltran will continue last night’s hot streak.
