Think about how bad the Rangers pitching is. They gave away Voloquez (granted for Hamilton), but they also gave up Galaragga to the Rangers as an afterthought. Add Danks to the equation and you can see why their rotation is so bad. They have good ones and someonetimes don't even realize it!

lol, yea that wasnt the brightest move...

with Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago in the same division, someone will have to play some home games in early April that are likely to be close to freezing or snowing.

The Texas Rangers should start the year on a 30 game homestand, then in July and August when its 120 degrees they can be on the road most of the time... It would be unfair, but they are the Rangers, they arent ever going to have a winning year anyway...

The game could be restricted to only Red Sox fans and it would still sell out. There is no need for the Mets to cater to sox nation like this...

It's just the way the days fall next year. April 1st is a Wednesday.

The options are either Monday, April 6th or Monday March 30th as the starts. Probably a good move with all the potential bad weather.

Speaking of which - imagine the April games in the Twins new outdoor stadium that will open in a few years? This seems like it will be a disaster.

Any idea why they're starting the season later next year? I heard it mentioned before but I don't recall hearing a reason.

Actually, it might be the Central. They didn't play the Indians, White Sox, or Royals in 2007 when they played the Tigers and Twins (they also played the A's then).
