You can say he racks up meaningless stats all you want, but if you understand baseball, you realize he is a cornerstone piece for a franchise. And an outstanding one at that.

I know the fans love him because he is the wonderboy, best player they produced out of their system in a while, but he racks up a lot of meaningless stats.
