"going to the playoffs despite their manager" One of the reasons cited for firing Willie was "It's the results that matter". Milwaukee made that extra push to get in this year, after failing last. He had some tough losses in the beginning of his tenure (and recently) and if the bullpen just performed a smidge better, he could easily add about 10 wins to his record. People were suicidal when the lead dropped from 6.5 to 3.5 last year.
