Matt, you need to correct this, Run DMC has absolutely nothing to do with this track at all! Richie Rich and the Kangol Kid sampled one line from a DMC song that is all. The song was written by Richie Rich and the Kangol Kid and features UTFO and Whistle. You can find the album details at Westcoast Pioneers (Strawsome Records and Macola Record Company).

Yes, it is certainly nice to have a salaried position with paid vacation.

I remember this song being the centerpiece of an SI article on the Mets early in the 1987 season. It focused on how disjointed the team was and how badly they were playing, and it was paired with an article on how well the Don Mattingly-led Yankees were playing at the same time. Cover said “Mets are Feuding, Yanks are Flying.”

Don’t ask me how I remember crap like this.
