Matt, leave the forecasting to the professionals. That would have been only me from what I know. but apparently this Prismo guy has a met degree too. Or something similar like a bachelor's in global warming.

They'll play.

I thought the same thing! I thought Matt was trying to pit Geico against Gatorade as sponsors.

I for one have no issue with the Mets using Niese against the Nats and Braves. Once each though, dont need him facing the same team twice right now...

I was thinking they could push back Pelfrey with these off days, but if they play Thursday it will be 19 straight to end the season.

Its also supposed to rain all weakend, so it could get interesting and the starters could start to get a little stacked up. In case of too much rain, activate Maine?

These 12 games with the Nats and Braves are huge. If they make a huge push then they might be able to coast in against the Cubs and Marlins.

...why did it start raining first thing this morning when the weather reports as late as midnight last night said it would be PM thunder storms?

I got soaked this morning working outside and now I'm safe and dry in the office for the afternoon and the rain has already ended... and its all your fault!!! ;)

If they play tonite, Perez can pitch again on Sunday. If they postpone tonite, they need the 5th starter on Sunday.

If Perez pitches 9/9 and 9/14, he's available on regular rest for a 1-game playoff 9/29. If Perez postpones to 9/10 & 9/15, he's on short rest.

Since the home team can delay the start of the game, I think this one will go late if there's any chance of getting it in...look at the weather map on weather.com; once this moves thru, nothing else is behind it.

BTW - Philly is in the same boat, with clearing showing an hour or two earlier...
