Take it easy guys. I'm going to bed lol This game was too stressful. I know it'll get worse tomorrow... At least I'm prepared for it

All games are going to scare us one way or another lol The stress just gets worse when Pedro, Niese or Knight is on the mound... ATL won't be an easy series. Taking 2 of 3 or a sweep is a must. Winning 3 out of these next 4 is a must if they expect to hold their ground in the wild card and expect to have a shot at the division.

Why make Niese wait until Monday? It doesn't make any sense. If he throws on Sunday, isn't he on like 7 or 8 days rest? Wouldn't it be more beneficial to give Pelfrey the extra day rest? Wouldn't it mean more to have Pelfrey throw your second to last game versus Jon Niese or Brandon Knight? Niese against the Cubs. That can be scary. Look at what the Brewers did to him.

Now that we saw Brandon Knight get through a start alright, they may be able to depend on him. I wouldn't trust him for more than 5 or 6. Could we with Pedro though?

I believe if you are going with Niese, it should be against the Braves because of how he did against them. Than again, seeing him a second time around may allow them to hit him.

2 of 3 guy's have to be chosen in Pedro, Niese and Knight. It's just a matter of where each guy slots. You don't want to see more than one of them go against the Cubs as they won't have to.

We're going Perez, Martinez, Pelfrey at Atlanta, all on regular rest created by today's Knight's start. The rotation for the Cubs have not been announced yet, but I guess it will be Niese in the first game.

Yes. I see your point. Each game is important, but only a select amount of gains represent momentum. This win proved to the Mets they can win. Tomorrow I can go in watching this game feeling like I would watch a game in any other month. If it weren't for this win, I'd feel like it's mid-September of 07' all over again.

Also, Mets.com indicates the probable pitcher for Friday is Oliver Perez and Saturday is Pedro. They have Pelfrey listed for Sunday, but I believe that can change. You're probably right that is what they'll do because they need Mike for the Cubs.

So it may look like this:

Santana at Was
Perez at ATL
Pedro at ATL
Niese at ATL
Pelfrey vs CHC
Santana vs CHC
Ollie vs CHC
Pedro vs CHC
Niese or Knight vs FLA
Pelfrey vs FLA
Johan vs FLA

The deciding factor between Pelfrey going out on Sunday or Monday comes down to whether they choose Niese or Knight. Or perhaps both and dump out Pedro. I think they'll give Pedro one more shot though.

Tonight would have been a good time to give Reyes a shot to get an out or two.

Those three games in Atlanta scare me a bit with Niese, Ollie and Pedro going. I'm losing all confidence in Pedro, unfortunately. But, what are our options?
