That’s what I’m saying – people trying to justify D-Wright’s performance by pointing to his up-to-date season numbers, or his numbers in the last 12 games.

Cerrone hit it on the head when he posted that stat saying, “Wright is hitting .567 in his last 8 games. In the 10 before that, he hit .128. In the 9 before that, he hit .439. In the 14 before that, he hit .241.” (those numbers were made up to be used as examples)

It’s the A-rod syndrome, number slook great at season’s end but when looking back all you can remember is the constant double play with the bases loaded, the weak foul pop out with the tying run on 3rd, etc. The big at bats.

Incompetence … you are right the same guy who brought Santana to Mets in the off season when everyone said it was impossible, yup Omars incompetence made us a horrible baseball team since he has taken over. Since he has taken over are team has been in the hunt every year. I guess the Mets being relevant in baseball again every year since he has been here … he had nothing to do with that at all.

Not true. The Phillies can’t win the division without the Mets losing a game. vice versa is also true, but still holds, it’s up to the Mets.
