It is NOT a collapse. And I would think that they feel this loss very much—what’s with the fans who want to punish them as if they weren’t trying? Feel bad—fine, we all do. But this is not a good time to play GM—you make irrational decisions. Glad none of us is in a position to do so.

The problem is they need more than just those 2 players…they need significant BP help and I’d rather have 2 average guys in the pen than a few years of Manny waiting at home plate to see if his ball leaves the park

Dude, I got so pissed off last night that I wanted to see the Cubs come in that last inning and shutdown the Mets 123, and they did. I was cursing my TV last night saying “F**k you 1 out, f**k you 2 outs, f**k you 3 outs, ball game over” They didn’t deserve to win. They needed to lose that game after that 9th inning disgrace just to feel the sting.

I was so infuriated and angry at the Mets last night that I actually wanted them to get shutdown 123 by the Cubs in the last inning. Just so they can feel the sting of that horrible display of a game. Maybe they can take that and play better ball tonight. Last night they did not deserve to win at all.

More about Chipper — What good is a .365 hitter if he can’t stay healthy all year long and will probably decline further very soon?

Chipper has just 75 RBIs this year. If we had had Chipper this year you’d have been whining about him as well.

BTW, I like Chipper a lot and he did the Mets a big favor yesterday. But no GM in baseball now would take Chipper over Wright. None.

If you cannot score multiple runs from 3rd with 0 outs you are definitely not deserving of being a palyoff team or a .500 team for that matter…

Productive outs are what makes a team a championship team… This team is not a championship team…

Why? Are those 3 REALLY the problem? It’s not the awful bullpen? It’s not Luis Castillo/ Argenis Reyes and Brian Schneider being at the bottom of the lineup? It’s not Church hitting about .004 since he came back?
