Those posts were fantastic. Gave us all a real feel for this field that we have spent so much time looking at…and, of course, vicariously lets us enjoy what you are vicariously enjoying.

Don’t bother. There’s a very strange tendency to post with “special thanks” to Matt, or to respond violently to any criticism of Matt. Actually kind of an interesting phenomenon — the flip side of the guys who scream at Cerrone in “all caps” after a loss. Just seems oddly “Matt-centric.” I really doubt he’s such a fragile little flower that he can’t take criticism of his work. For my part, this was the kind of misty-eyed fluff that I really dislike in baseball journalism.

Fair enough. You enjoyed them – fantastic. I found them incredibly fluffy… “The player’s equiptment is in place, the water jugs are filled” – I expected the next line to be “and visions of sugar plumbs danced in their heads”… My reaction wasnt intended to criticize all of todays posts.. I think most people visit the site to gain additional info not available elsewhere, or to obtain more in depth analyses. Reading about water coolers ? I was just asking for something relating to tonight, last night, etc…

I thought these were great posts by Matt and if George Thorogood can pretend to catch a ball in center field why can’t Matt pretend to get a grounder from short. You need to relax Darth.
