I agree, depending on weather, that you use all three if you have to.
They each bring a different look. If Neise can learn to throw some of those great curves he has out of the strike zone then he could be effective. He caught too much of the plate last start. You have to off the plate and in the dirt to get these guys out. Figgy is a breaking pitch option, knight fastball with breaking stuff and lefty Niese. Use all three if needed, give them diff looks, Fish like to swing for the fences on every pitch so you can get them with stuff off the plate.

He said he'd use Santana out of the bullpen right? I know it's short rest but why not start with one of those guys, or two of them if one of them gets rocked and let Santana finish?

I'd throw Stokes on Saturday. He has a nice offspeed if he gets his fastball over consistently.

Big game tonight for Big Pelf.........lets hope he can follow up on his last solid start vs the Marlins.....oh and hit Cody Ross in the head.

I'm all for throwing caution to the wind and putting John Maine out there... I'm sure he'd be up for it... His arms not gonna fall off. After the job he did in the must win 2nd to last game last season against the Marlins, there's no one I'd rather see take the ball.

I agree -- Niese showed he could go deep into a game if he has his stuff. Give him the ball and see if it's one of those nights -- otherwise, it'd be one of those Knights.

Sorry, too much Tim McCarver as a kid.

I mean as a starter. Off the bench they both have some value. (AR = defense and PR, NF = can get a righty out)

Figgy is a lot like Argenis -- came up and surprised people, stuck around to provide much needed energy, but has since been exposed.
