Yup...or Church...I said it then, that was the division, for sure -- possibly the season. Looks like it could be the case. You never want to put your destiny in the hands of other teams... Oh well...hopefully, they can force a playoff game on Monday.

i couldnt agree more with the poster above, all i want is for them to just get it, no matter who we play no matter the situation, we can beat anyone on any given day if we play up to our potential and maybe the bullpen could step it up in the post season

What other choice do we got? Throw Jon Niese and end the season? He may not be able to pitch as deep, but each game now is like game seven. And yes, they were greedy. I could have been on the fence on that one. I do believe if the Mets do lose though, they have let us down as fans. And many fans will not be committed to returning next season. Many fans will simply just not like the Mets anymore. Or not take them seriously. I do believe this team will restore order and win these two games. The Cubs can beat the Brewers. Anything is still possible. The scenario of who could pitch Monday if we're lucky enough to get there could be a true mess - Pedro on four days? Brandon Knight? Everyone? I don't know. But I'll be happy if we're there.

I like this lineup. All we have to do is switch Ramon Martinez with Orlando Hudson next year and this can be a amazin' lineup!

Why is pitching Santana a bad idea? They HAVE to win today. What's the better choice?

I'm pretty sure it was only 2 games. But the problem is he shouldn't be moved there because he's struggling or something. He should be moved there because hitting him in front of Delgado and Wright makes the most sense. He gets on base, they can drive him in. Plus he doesn't make outs often, he can drive guys in himself, sand he's a pretty good base runner. Batting him 5th was basically a waste.

last week or earlier this week there was a poll asking everybody if they would "take" a playoff game with the brewers for the wild card and most people said NO, which was completely ridiculous to me seeing how this team was playing.

i wonder how many people would "take" that playoff game now?

btw, pitching Santana today is a bad idea
