Enjoy the layoffs and economic devastation your city is going to face from the mortgage crisis. What did I hear? Oh yeah, NYC is going to face a record 3 BILLION DOLLAR loss in revenue over the next two years. Projected record deficits last year. Maybe Philly can send some money up there to help you guys out. We're reliant on medical, higher education, and big pharma (eg. recession proof industries).

It's tough to be a New Yorker right now, isn't it? Your fans just looked like they were ready to cry on TV.

I'm on the blog, because my grandfather (R.I.P) was a huge Mets fan, which is why I have total respect for the Mets, reguardless of how much of a Phils fan I am.

regarding tomorrows potential Brewers starting pitcher.

Sabathia is pitching today (in case you hadnt heard....)

Sheets threw 53 pitches on Sat and isnt an option with his injuries over the past month.

Dave Bush threw 43 pitches in relief of Sheets, and he last started on Tues, throwing 92 pitches. (3 IP and 43 pitches is a lot for a 'work day' but he could come back on one day rest.) He allowed 6 ER in 5 IP against the Mets on Sept 3rd, and has a 4.97 ERA in five Sept starts.

Suppan threw 91 pitches on Fri (him starting on two days rest would be highly unconventional)

McClung threw 59 pitches in relief on Friday (He's made 12 starts this year, but has been a reliever since July 21st)

Gallardo threw 67 pitches on Thurs (He pitched very well against the Pirates, but it was his first action since May 1st. He would be an odd guy to put your season on, but less odd than Oliver Perez in game 7 in 2006)

Bush or Gallardo seem most likely, but both will likely see action.

We're having a nasty storm here in Pa. and the satelitte is out right now, of course right in the middle of the pre-game. It better be back up for the game.
