The only reason why people are complaining now that it was “poor” is cause it followed a season ending loss.

It was also raining till 2pm, so the game wouldn’t have started till 4pm thus interfereing with ESPN/FOX or whoevers timeslot.

I’m pretty sure it would have been a bigger fiasco having the legends do the ceremony in the pouring rain.

Going home to Seaver-Piazza was MUCH better than going home to a season ending fly out.

no the jinx is that cerrone posted the magic number with 17 games left even though he took a poll and the majority of people did not want him to post it but he did it any ways.
cuz he said and i quote “This is a different team” he said that he was confident that the mets wouldn’t collaspse.
way to go cerrone, way to blow it two years in a row.
great job!
hopefully we u can do the same thing next year and we can collapse again NOTTTT

By the way, how about we talk about the way the Shea goodbye celebration was handled. What other organization would have handled this so poorly? It is like the Mets organziation constantly make a**es of themselves.

Why couldn’t they do it before yesterday’s game?
