Our offense was the 2nd best in the NL last year. They were not clutch, but they still scored a ton. Johan is the leader in ERA and Innings Pitched. He is 2nd in K's. 3rd in complete games. 6th in WHIP. His biggest competition trails him in EVERY CATEGORY except K's, in which Johan is the #2. Johan did this in the better division, in the pressure city, during a playoff race, while not losing a single game since the all star break. Sorry but Lincecum is not even CLOSE. There are no other real free agents that make an impact and you cant trade for any. This team is lacking a real bat in the middle of the order (unless Church had stayed healthy and hit 30 hrs). They need to sign him. Screw the "antics" and "attitude". He is a winner and clutch. We make that trade this past august, we are in the playoffs, possibly the world series. Yes bullpen is a must but that does NOT stop you from getting this guy. Of course, if you dont mind not making the playoffs this year and waiting 1 more, then dont sign him.
