they’ve known each other for awhile. JLo & Marc Anthony were at Carlos Beltran’s bday party last year (or was it the year before) - so says some newspaper gossip column.

Jessica was there the day Beltran was introduced as the Mets premier FA signing.

It was just this year. And lots of Mets were at the party too, like Endy, Ollie and Wright.

The Beltrans and the Anthonys are neighbors in Port Washington.

haha the mole comments never end. Some cultures frown upon cosmetic surgery, and the mole is also right near his temple, could be an unneccessarily risky surgery. Just a couple of guesses, I really have no idea.

Maybe the mole can close a few games for The Mets next year

Both my daughters scream “yuk’ when they see that thing, and the wife asks the same question “why doesn’t he get that thing removed”. I happen to think it’s his twin that never developed.

How long has Carlos and his wife been married? Isn’t it a little quick to be renewing your vows?

Wow, thank god a pesky postseason run didn’t get in the way of this. Also, rumor has it his mole is honeymooning in Aruba

Ah in the immortal words of Marc Anthony:

Don’t leave me
All alone out here
Wondering if you’re ever
Gonna take me there (to the World Series)
ell me what your feeling because I need to know.

I always wonder when I see people renewing their vows if some form of cheating recently went down … because in all honesty, unless my wife and I had a falling out where one of us (or both of us) were cheating, I can’t see any reason to “renew” vows? :)

Mets fans have been cheated since ‘06.
Let’s revamp this team!
I’d like Freddy to renew my vows, baby!

it is very weird to hear carlos beltran renewed his vows after a night in the club and some gambling… not that I know carlos one bit, just saying

Lets Trade Beltran…the peices we can get in return might be able to help us so much

2008-10-14 19:19:48

Yes, lets trade Beltran. That way we can create a nice big hole in the offense and outfield defense at the same time.

Better yet, lets appease that Yankee fan, Russo, who started that moronic Cano + Kennedy for Beltran rumor and send Beltran to Hankie’s team for the overrated Cano and abject Kennedy. That way they won’t have to look at Melky sputtering in their lineup anymore. Yes, lets be good city neighbors to our Bronx buddies.

yeah that makes sense…fans like you that make posts like this FORGET that its a trade and we get players back in RETURN…its not like Beltran leaves and we are left stranded without him…we get people that are useful to the team

2008-10-14 19:43:26

Yeah … just like Wade got useful parts back for Lidge, right? Oh wait … maybe we can trade Beltran to the ‘Stros so they can send us that stud, Michael Bourn. That way Wade saves face because he can say he got an all-star for Lidge, and the Mets get … they get … this wonderful stud outfielder who will be a cheap mainstay for years and years to come!

ur babbling right now…you dont know what ur talking about. Why would we trade Carlos for anyone other than a couple proven Relievers or a guy like Rowand who can play a decent CF

If we are going to trade Beltran it has to fill 2-3 spots with above average players. That most likely will not happen. Example to the Giants for Rowand and Cain. Redsox for an unnamed CF and 2B ;).

it would also free up a ton of money to make a big play on a more significant player than beltran this offseason

henry moleman will not be traded - believe me on this one guys

2008-10-14 21:28:25

Oh…. well now, Rowand. Why didn’t you say so?

Sure, lets trade a proven postseason performer for someone who has a grand total of 4 RBIs and a .228 BA in 15 postseason games. But who cares about the postseason and those pressure games, right? At least we’ll have someone who will entertain us all year long by crashing face first into fences.

And sure, I agree. Lets get a more significant player than Beltran. They grown on trees, after all. In fact, TB has already said they will shop Longoria after the Rays win the WS, so there ya go. Perfect fit!
