According to Jeff Wilpon, during his interview with WFAN yesterday,
the physical structure of Shea Stadium will begin being torn down in the next two to three weeks.
To view a slideshow of the progress of both Citi Field and Shea Stadium, check out WFAN.com.
Also, SheaStadiumRip.com is capitalizing on the end of Shea’s days.

And now the Mets will probably go after this guy for trying to profit off of something w/ their logo on it.
Well, that and I think the shirt is ugly.
I agree…You would think the designer would be a bit creative! Lame!
Awful looking t-shirt, by the way.
I agree. Horrible T-shirt. I can’t see anybody buying that.
I kinda want to head out the Shea to see it one last time before it gets razed….Does anyone have an idea of the 7 train is still stopping at Willets point, so I can see the old girl?
There is a commuter lot right there, so I’d imagine so.
Take the 7 to and from work everyday. It still stops at WIllets Point but it looks like the gates to get into Shea after you stop are closed off.
how could they!
Are you kidding? The shirt is awesome and the guy made it because he likes Shea Stadium and the Mets!! You just dont get it!
