Relief Pitcher: K-Rod will be Flexible
By Matthew Cerrone - Nov 6, 2008 3:01 pm

as i have been writing, the early buzz in baseball seems to be that free-agent RHP Francisco Rodriguez will likely seek a five-year deal worth around $15 million per season

Nevertheless, last week, in a report for Newsday, Ken Davidoff wrote, “The Mets have convinced themselves that Rodriguez just isn’t worth the money.”

However, at his blog for 1050 ESPN Radio, Andrew Marchand reports that the Mets met with Rodriguez’s agent for 45 minutes yesterday, adding, “The Mets are not interested in offering K-Rod a five-year, $75 million contract, but this may not be a deal breaker because (the agent) says K-Rod will be flexible.”

hmmm, sounds like some one does not want the Mets to be disinterested, either because he wants to be in Citi Field, or it’s bad for demand

Earlier today, according to the Rocky Mountain News, free-agent LHP Brian Fuentes put a four-year, $44 million proposal on the table to the Mets.

…as i said, from what i can gather, the Mets, Indians, Cardinals, Brewers, Rangers, Rockies, Tigers and Angels are all looking for a closer…however, only the Mets, Rangers, Tigers and Angels have been linked to rodriguez in rumor…which means, being a team from New York City, most likely with the most money, the Mets may be wise to let fuentes and k-rod come to them, while poking around the trade market, and maybe spooking them in to dropping their price

This is the most boring winter meetings ever.. someone wake me up when anything is even remotely decided.. thanks.

    • ravi3 says:

Nothing EVER happens during the GM meetings…the Winter Meetings which are in December is where action happens.

    • mistermet5757 says:

the november winter meetings are always kind of boring, as it is too early to make deals and free agents aren’t available. This is basically just GM’s testing the market to see what the other GM’s are thinking. Wait until the 2nd winter meetings in early/mid december…those are the ones where the moves are usually made.

    • HOFMets57 says:

Omar is is playing his cards PERFECTLY, so far.

Deep down inside, I think Omar knows we need K-Rod. He’s been leaking reports of K-Rod not being worth the money he’s asking and we’re now pursuing Fuentes (old), Putz (old and injury risk) and Street (no good anymore).

      What happens?

K-Rod buckles and it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet!

    • D in Ben Lomond says:

Mets need the closer to be a lefty. Howard and Utley will get 9th inning gwrbi otherwise. no?

      • Razor Shines says:

Yes, probably once or twice a year.

      • BringBackDaveTelgheder says:

I’d rather have the righty – but the truth is you want you’re closer to get out both righties and lefties of course.

For instance, Fuentes is death on lefties but Wright hammers lefties – I’d be feeling nervous with him facing Fuentes in a tough spot.

  2. hot stove chef says:

I don’t understand the Fuentes rumor. I thought these guys couldn’t talk numbers for another week.

    • mistermet5757 says:

i think teams can’t talk numbers with agents. however, this was Fuentes’ agent giving out that number…agents can say whatever they want. it’s the teams that have to be quiet.

    • Willie Randolph says:

Stop the Fuentes talk ,K-Rod is gonna be the Mets closer for years to come !

      • Boscov says:

I was in favor of signing Fuentes under the condition that he would come significantly cheaper than K-rod. With rumors of this 4 year 44 mill offer, combined with K-rod’s apparent willingness to sign for less than 5 years – I think it’s a no brainer that they try and sign K-rod. If we’re talking same length – 4 years – and a difference of around 4 mill per year – then that’s worth it to me. Go get K-rod, go get Lowe, and let’s get 2009 under way already because the fact that the Phillies are world series champions is an atrocity and the biggest stain to major league baseball ever since that guy Sosa took steroids

  3. jay15 says:

Fuentes is a bad idea. I don’t like medicore closers from the smaller markets for this team. They don’t work. This has Braden Looper written all over it

    • alex.242 says:

      wow, i can’t believe this… SIGN K-ROD!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Tidewater says:

      Bring back Looper!

    • stilltheEWM says:

Branden Looper played hurt almost the entire year.. he’s been very good since leaving NY….

What about Fuentes do you find medicore? His impressive Whip? His K per 9? His ERA? All done in Coors field?

      • starz31 says:

I just don’t feel confidant with him…And I don’t want to lock him up for 4 years…I’d much rather pay more money for 4 years of Krod, who is better, younger, has a ring, and has never lost the closers job b4. also throws 4 pitches pretty good.

      • Gina says:

Agreed, I really don’t understand why people are saying Fuentes is a mediocre closer. Especially when his numbers for the most part are even with or better than K-rods. I can understand the age thing but saying Fuentes is mediocre doesn’t make any sense.

        • Willie Randolph says:

He is by no way “mediocre” he is a good but not great, and we need GREATNESS !

        • metinDC23 says:

But by saying Fuentes isn’t great your saying Krod isn’t great. There numbers are very similar. the only difference is age.

        • HOFMets57 says:

I think the last 2 years have proven ‘AGE’ (and trying to LOWER it) should be one of our highest priorities:

          Alou
          El Duque
          Pedro
          Wagner
          Castillo
          Schoeneweis
          etc.

        • rustyjr says:

dont forget green and julio franco

    • How is fuentes a bad idea? and how can you even compare him to Looper?… Also, how is he “mediocre” when he puts up equal if not better numbers then K-rod? Or did you not bother to look at the great year he had? Good K/9 good H/9 good WHIP decent ERA and good SV %, also he did this in Coors.. Look up numbers before posting idiotic comparisons.. And K-rods fastball has been dropping…and dropping..and will continue to drop.. in two years he’ll be throwing 88MPH, If he gets that far without having a major injury.

      • HOFMets57 says:

So you would rather sign a closer who will be 37 years old in the 4th year of his contract?

        • rustyjr says:

although i agree with u hof but remember mo is still dominate so was reardon smith eckersley and smoltz

        • HOFMets57 says:

Mo is the exception to the rule. What other 36+ yr. old closers are still dominating? Hoffman, Todd Jones? There are VERY FEW even closing at this point. Most of them are merely peripherals now.

Mariano will go down in history as arguably one of THE greatest to play the game. His production, even now, doesn’t surprise me anymore…

  4. GravediggerHebner says:

Omar’s patience in the Santana trade negotiations paid off last year, and with apologies to all Met fans impatient for some roster movement, I believe patience is what will pay off for Omar the Metmaker again this year.

    • stilltheEWM says:

And it sunk us at the deadline as we got NO help.. and missed the playoffs again

      • GravediggerHebner says:

No argument there. My comment was strictly regarding your above stated boredom with the winter meetings.

        • stilltheEWM says:

haha.. i wasn’t trying to rip on Omar or the Mets. or anyone…. it’s just annoying that 15 different articles all say different things…

        • Razor Shines says:

Then stop reading. Your participation is the exact reason there are 15 different stories.

    • steadyeddie says:

I hate to repeat myself BUT we do NOT have the luxury of patience and see who blinks first this off season ; there is just too much to get done! Omar needs to move quickly and while there are options open. We cannot be burdened with stars of yesteryear and I gotta hunch this guy will be OK mentality again. Remember that word; CHANGE!
      Mets need some!

  5. Willie Randolph says:

    We’ll sign K-rod for 4 yrs and 64 mil you’ll see !

    • starz31 says:

      4 years 64mil…club option for a 5th year.

He wont get a penny less than Rivera’s 15 mil a year.

  6. alex.242 says:

4 yrs 62 mil.. i’d sign for that… i want teixeira plz omar go ahead and do it.. trade delgado please..

    • Razor Shines says:

I would like Winn and Molina for Delgado and Schneider, and we sign Tex. SF needs a 1bman and a lefty to put some ball sin the water and sell tickets. We get a LFer and new C who can lead.

      Reyes
      Winn
      Beltran
      Tex
      Wright
      Church
      Molina
      Murphy

      • wrightstuff08 says:

i love this lineup you have here but Omar wont sign Tex. He will most likely sign with the Angels.

  7. BBmetsfreak36 says:

I don’t even see why there is competition with this. K-rod should be priority, first choice hands down!
Lets take a look and ask these question to yourself
    Fuentes, Street, Putz, or K-rod
-Who is and can be the most dominant closer out of all of them?
-Who has accomplished the most in a young career?
-Who’s going to cost alot of prospects?
-Are you worried about age? Decrese of effectivness while finishing up their contract?
We’ll in my opinion K-rod is the obvious answer for the mets.
We have a gaping hole of a need.
He’s young, dominant, already proven, availible and nobody really superseeds him based on ability or price.
Fuetes’ price is fairly close to K-rod’s anyway where as we have the money and K-rod beats him anyday.
The Mets have the money to spend.
For Street and Putz you have to give up numerous prospects where a free agent you don’t(we’ll get back the draft pick back anyway if ollie isn’t signed), and with any of them you have to pay them eventually.
Considering K-Rod’s price is similar to 33 year old Fuetes I propose this deal that I think would satisfy both sides needs..:
    2009 $14.5 mil’
    2010 $14.5 mil’
2011 $14.5 mil’ (player may opt out after 3rd year)
    2012 $15.5 mil’
2013 $ 17 mil (team option) (turns to player option if records 150 saves as a met

  8. The Dotel Motel says:

Just thinking of a possible closer to trade for. Any chance we can get the Pirates to deal Freddy Sanchez for Matt Capps for a package of Aaron Heilman, Nick Evans, and Jon Niese?

Capps is intriguing. Don’t think the Bucs would deal him.

    • alex.242 says:

what’s gonna bother me is to see heilman traded, become a starter and win 15 games or so while we struggle to patch a starting rotation together.. and omar… PLEASE GET RID OF CASTILLO!!!!

    • Gina says:

I think Niese is overrated by fans but including him in a deal like that would be terrible for us.

  9. metsftw says:

fuentes at 11 mil for 3 years >>>>> k-rod for 5/75. k-rod is VASTLY overrated, but of course you won’t hear that from ESPN or Cerrone, so why would any of you people know that?

    • metsftw says:

that is of course, if omar can negotiate fuentes down to 3 years at the same salary per year.

    • Willie Randolph says:

OOOHH ! And you do ???????

      • metsftw says:

yeah, i do. because i can look at his stats beyond the inflated saves total. can you?

        • starz31 says:

          Fuentes: last 3 seasons:
          rough averages: 62 IP…24 BB…56-82k’s, 3.00ERA 20-30 saves. 4-7BS

          Krod: 70 IP…30 BB..77-92k’s…40-62 Saves…4-7BS 2.20ERA

Obviously, Krod has had many more save opportunities which shows Fuentes has not been the primary closer. He pitched in 10 games in the 2007 playoffs with no saves. Why are we gonna invest in this good, but not great closer. we could invest in a great, not the best, but very good closer. or we could trade for a cheaper alternative comparable to Fuentes.

Point is…I dont want to be locked up with Fuentes the next 4 years.

        • starz31 says:

also KROD is 7 years younger.

If we dont want to spend the money on a very good closer that could be even better in the NL…than fine…lets look to the trade market than.

JJ Putz was unhittable in 2006 and 2007…he had a rough one in 2008 but his numbers weren’t even that bad. he could bounce back with change in scenery and the fact of going to a much better team than SEA.

I’m just not sold on Fuentes for a potential playoff push.

He’s good…but why not go for someone better?

        • kingman 26 says:

Excellent comments on Fuentes and Putz Starz, I agree 100%.

Putz’s career got better every year until last year’s injury, and as Starz points out, even with the injury and a horrific team around him, his numbers were not THAT bad.

Putz ,and Cordero if he comes cheap and is willing to work his way to the 7th or 8th, and we are off to a great start.

        • Gina says:

Or it might show that the Rockies haven’t been in as many save opportunities? Not to mention some of those numbers are wrong really wrong. K-rod averages almost 10 more walks a year than Fuentes, not 6. And Fuentes has averaged 66 innings will K-rod has averaged 70. K-rod also has averages a much higher WHIP.

        • HOFMets57 says:

He’s still 7 years OLDER than K-Rod and will be 37 years old in the 4th year of his contract…

    • Gina says:

Agreed, and hopefully the front office sees it.

    • starz31 says:

From Cerrone? I don’t think I’ve seen him advocate Krod all off-season.

He wouldn’t sign him for 5 years either.

the point is…Krod is a lot better than Fuentes…no question.

I dont trust Fuentes. I trust Krod. He has a better track record, a ring, 7 years younger, is fiery, and can throw 4 nasty pitches. AND has never lost his closers role.

If we’re gonna do this…lets do it right…get the best closer in the market or trade for another one at a cheap cost to keep our options open for the next few years. We sign Fuentes, we’re committed to him like we were with Looper.

      • Gina says:

Based on what is K-rod much better than Fuentes?

        • starz31 says:

          see above reply to metsftw

        • Willie Randolph says:

Mariano Rivera doesnt throw as hard as he used to,neither Mr. Hoffman but they continue to be succesful closing games cause its all about intimidation and K-Rod intimidates hitters, coaches ,owners and fans !

        • starz31 says:

          AND can throw 4-plus pitches.

        • wrightstuff08 says:

Plus,K-Rod has been successful in the AL, and make no mistake about it, the AL is still the superior league. Fuentes is too OLD!! Learn from the Wagner contract

      • We Were Throwbacks says:

Starz, it’s difficult for me to think of someone I agree with more frequently on this site than you. To make this short and sweet, my first preference would be Putz in the RIGHT deal…second would clearly be K-Rod.

I really, really hope that Fuentes isn’t an actual target for this team. This guy has lost his closer role TWICE and is 33! Why mess with mediocrity again? We can get a top 7 closer in baseball for only 4 million per more, or get a guy that is a top 25 closer, when he is in fact a closer. The choice is simple.

First Putz, and if not him, then K-Rod. Fuentes if ALL else fails.

    • alex.242 says:

VASTLY? I’ll take my chances with a 26 yrs old closer who just happen to break the saves record than with a guy who lost the closer job twice in COLORADO out of all places, is 33 years old and is gonna be 38 when the contract expires.. i.e (isn’t wagner 38 in 2009) thought so..

      • alex.242 says:

plus ppl, can someone name me another star we sign in his prime besides carlos beltran? i can’t remember.. please don’t say bonilla..

        • Volume11 says:

Johan Santana. Also, you can count the pro-active signings of Wright and Reyes who both are just about to hit their prime and are arguably still a year or two off from being there…

        • just-mlb says:

I think what alex meant was what star did we sign as a free-agent in their prime..

we traded for johan and RESIGNED him which is different…same goes for Reyes and Wright…

to be honest…I think the last STAR in his prime that we signed as a free-agent might have been Robin Ventura…if you dont consider him a star than you might have to go back to Bobby Bonilla…

of course we get bobby bonilla for 5 year 25 mil and then dont have money for bonds who signed with the Giants for only 2.6 million more per year…

      • metsftw says:

yup, you can’t look beyond the saves record. i’m so shocked.

take your chances with him. he isn’t that good. not nearly worth 5/75.

        • just-mlb says:

I think he even knows that….plus he is 26…he can sign a 4 year deal, continue being as good as he is and know that he can re-up for twice as much when he hits 30.

Figure he has about 9 more years before he hits 35.

He can sign now for a nice 3-4 year deal at 15 per and then sign another 2-3 year deal at 15 per.

the market keeps on going up and up and up

middle-relievers will be getting paid 10 mil per year in 6-7 years.

        • metsftw says:

k-rod thinks he’s worth 25 mil a year. baseball players are idiots, don’t be naive. the’re just as dumb as football, basketball, and hockey players. he’s vastly overrated, and it’ll be funny when all of you are whining about how “overpaid” he is when he’s blowing 10 saves a year for us.

  10. METSCITI says:

I think it K-Rod’s price is anywhere near 4 years 60 mil instead of 5 years 75 mil he will be a Met. Omar knows that we as fans have developed a nervous twitch now with the 9th inning. The way Omar is talking to the media this offseason is the only way to get Krod at a fair price for a team that blew more saves than I can even watch again

  11. NYCESQ says:

I just read on Heyman’s blog that Jenks may be available. If this is true, I wonder what it would take to get him.

  12. phukthephills says:

as for the closer, i dont think the mets should give fuentes anything over 10 mil per year (which wont happen…so forget him)…..krod should be about 12 or 13 mil per year for 4 or 5 years (i would do that but wouldnt go much higher)…..wait on krod tho cuz i really dont think many teams will give him 15 mil per year………if none of these work out then i would look for a trade.
as for the starter, i think the mets are going to sign lowe..he seems to come up in every rumor….then they will go for someone cheap for the 4th or 5th spot…looking at the rotation it will be something like johan, pelf, lowe, maine, other guy/maybe niese

  13. losmets7 says:

Hmmm. If he would do 4/52, or maybe 3/39 with a club option, I’d bite.

    • mets1224 says:

      “As I said”

Matt Cerrone’s variations in his writing are as interesting as watching paint dry.

LOVE THE SITE…PLEASE CHANGE THE WAY YOU WRITE THINGS

      • starz31 says:

Id rather here that than it spoken like it was factual information as francessa would deliver.

        • mets1224 says:

agreed…but like I have already commented on, this is now a SNY owned website, which consquently means that The New York Mets are paying Matt Cerrone to write(read: blog / read: blog poorly). Nevertheless, I don’t understand how a person being paid to write, isn’t variating his writing in the least. Simply look back at his 10 posts(only focus on the italicized writing)…almost everyone begins with,
          “As I said”
          “From what I can gather”
          “I get the sense that”
          “I sense that”
          It’s downright embarressing.

        • rustyjr says:

mets1224 get a grip ive been here since the pre sny sponsorship and matt has’t caved to their demands (if they have even suggested any) matt has voiced some negative opinions and i find him very credible so take a step back and take a deep breath

        • Gina says:

          Does it really matter?

        • kingman 26 says:

mets1224 writes that things are “embarressing” and he cannot even spell the word.

“Consquently” is spelled wrong, “variating” is not a word, and “everyone” is two words in the context in which he attempts to use it.

This is cla*sic and speaks volumes about the worth of his post.

  17. 2009_believe says:

K-Rod will be a Met next season.

He is crazy, he’d be perfect in New York. I doubt he’d let anybody say anything without nailing them in the ribs with a fastball. The fans would love him.

And what better way to say that the bullpen won’t be an issue this year then sign the best closer on the market. If we are going to get a new closer (which we have to) just get the best one we can

    enough said’

    • kingman 26 says:

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think you are correct…and, crazy as it sounds, 5 years for like 70 million really isn’t even that much anymore….and if we sign Cordero cheap and make a couple more moves, the bullpen could be a strength. Smith should be better, Feliciano will be better if he is not overused, Stokes can be OK as 6th/7th inning guy, and hopefully Schoeneweis will be traded or gone.

And Heilman gets a chance in the spring to try for 5th starter??

      Anyone??

      • phukthephills says:

i understand that ppl want to give hielman a shot at the rotation but i really think we need to just get rid of him…hes good trade material still but consistantly decreases as the years go by…..he needs to get out of new york

  18. phukthephills says:

not to be racist but ya’ll kno that omar likes those hispancs…i just dont see him turning down krod for fuentes…especially when its only a small difference in money….its either krod or closer through trade…i really dont think fuentes will be a met next yr

  19. therealsince86 says:

Offer him 3/48 with 2 club or vesting options. Done and move on.

  20. deviljack33 says:

    Matt

I think that K-rod is the way to go. The Mets can play around and pretend their not interested maybe it will work in their favor as far as money goes, but K-rod coming from the AL to the NL would be huge almost nobody has faced him in the NL in my mind he could be lights out for at least two years possibly even more.
Fuentes has been in the NL practically his whole career which isn’t a bad thing but ,the whole NL has seen him and knows what’s coming he just not that dominating.

    • losmets7 says:

      Another plus for K-Rod!

      SIGN K-ROD ‘08!!!!!

      • phukthephills says:

        OR EARLY 09′!!!

put it this way…(i kno some of u dont like the “ifs”) but if the mets had krod in 08′, they would have easily won the division and would have gone to the NLCS and maybe even the World Series…just think about it…everyone says they think the closer is an overrated position but it really isnt…it is one of the hardest jobs in the game and only a couple of players are good at it…krod is one of them and the mets need him. get him omar!!!

        • losmets7 says:

His agent said his client would likely be signed before the new year, But w/e, SIGN K-ROD ‘08/EARLY 09!!!!!

        • phukthephills says:

oo…well thats better then…before would def be nicer than after the new yr

          Closer overrated?? NO WAY!

I completely agree that it is huge and perhaps the hardest job in sports.

Lidge, Papelbon, Percival, Duane Ward, Wohlers when he was great, the Mets pen of 1986, and of course Mariano Rivera…Willie Hernandez in 1984….

I think closers are often a key piece of championship teams.

Sure, the DBacks overcame Kim, and the recent Cards and White Sox didn’t have great closers, but the White Sox didn’t need one in the postseason and the Cards were one of those annoying “teams of destiny.”

I totally think that closers are huge, and if we had Lidge, we would have won it all this year.

The White Sox won with 5 solid 200 inning starters that year. Buerle, Vazquez, Contreras, Garland and ??? i forget. lol

        • rustyjr says:

they were up against a weak houston team though

        • HOFMets57 says:

          Jenks. Was unhittable that postseason…

        • rustyjr says:

I saw a few videos of K-rod and I didnt know he has that good of a change-up. I always thought his great out pitch was his curveball. he is a must sign but not for the 75 million he is looking for.

    • rustyjr says:

well duh lol i think this is like buying a new car they inflate their numbers we have what we want to pay then try to meet somewhere in between lol

  22. phillyhater says:

i really hate when i have something to say and it wont get posted because i guess there is some word hidden in there that the filter blocks. I think they need to ease up on the filter

    • rustyjr says:

i know man its a real bitch if i have the word that means butt in there that is part of a larger word and i wrote a big post i hate that

  23. eduardosmets says:

this isnt about a closer but we need 2 stop chasing oliver or derek lowe and we need 2 put a package 2gether starting with jonathon neise and nick evans and work from there for jake peavy becasue this guy is a season from cy young status and has pictched close to 200 innings i like his balls to strike out ratio hes onli owed 11 million next season this has 2 b done we need 2 call san diego and steal a trade before other teams start getting creative and if u are not ready to give up on neise replace him in the deal with brad holt i hear teams are praising this guy
and if you rahter trade him then that allows us to have jake peavy and still have neise as a second lefty as the 5th starter or neise can go in the deal and we can sign a guy like randy wolf to be our second lefy or call SF giants on jonathon sanchez a nice cheap lefty and young

    • this is’ent the video game buddy, you cant trade crap for a proven young pitcher, so even though the Braves offered one of their best young infielders in Yunel Escobar/Kelly Kohnson, and another prospect that has a much higher cieling then Niese/Holt/Evans, you want the Mets to get peavy for Holt and Evans….

  24. msamsonz28 says:

Just wondering…does it save time to type “2″ instead of “to”? If so, I will do that from now on.

  25. Gina says:

This is totally unrelated, but apparently the Dodgers want to trade Martin so they can sign Varitek and want to trade one of Kemp/Either so they can make room for one of Pierre/Jones. Like really Dodgers? That’s like us trading Reyes so we can sign Orlando Cabrera, or trading Wright so we can make room for Marlon Anderson.

Like I said at some point during the season I <3 the dodgers because I always know there’s a big market team that’s more inclined to fail than us.

    • rustyjr says:

      also see cubs

    • Gina says:

I mean we all joke about Omar’s love for old players but I’m pretty certain he would never trade cheap high upside young players to make room for crappy overpaid veterans.

      • rustyjr says:

gina thats where i disagree we did trade lindstrom and owens and in return (not for them but still) scho, wise (we hardly knew ya, vargas and jorge sosa)

        • Gina says:

But at least we traded for younger cheaper players with some upside. Vargas and Bostick had had decent years in the minors and Lindstom and Owens were running out of options. Not to mention Lindstrom and Owens aren’t nearly on the level of guys like Martin and Kemp/Either. The difference between Lindstom and Owens and Vargas and Bostick is a lot different than the difference between Martin and Either/Kemp and Varitek and Juan Pierre/Jones.

guys i’ll be in philly today say a prayer for me lol

Your comment is a choker , but not your nickname !

  28. GravediggerHebner says:

The “K Rod is an injury waiting to happen” concept reeks of past Met regimes’ refusal to sign Vladimir Guerrero or Alex Rodriguez, and I’d like my favorite team to sign a stud in their prime every once in a while, not a guy who’s turning 33 next year and who as recently as 2007 lost his closer gig to Manny Corpas.

  29. HOFMets57 says:

Let’s replace Santana with K-Rod since it mirrors EXACTLY what people were saying about Johan…

    Fuentes before SANTANA.

Santana is an injury waiting to happen.

Yes you are Derrick Wright. DAVID Wright will prove everyone wrong next year…

  30. losmets7 says:

Yeah, get ‘em while they’re young. To bad his value is so high though…
