This is a right handed vet with pop and leadership to bat in between the Carlos'. Its a good fit and your only taking him on for a year. It seems like a no brainer to me. I would add Heilman to the deal if I had to. Im not sure Vasquez is a good fit with the Mets. He is being tossed out of town and he was already run out of NY once. Not very good for balancing purposes. If you then trade Vasquez or Contreras and sign Wolf or CC or another LHP, it sounds fine, but you can't let it stand as is, or the teams built to kill RHP's will kill us.
