I wouldn't mind seeing a year of Dunn in left, and having him as a possible replacement for Delgado should, say, a favorable trade come our way mid year (and Murph then potentially replacing Dunn in left). I'd take him for 3 years (if the price is right)

It's not a matter of being better than Delgado, it's where he is relative to 1rst basemen around the league. He'd have to be just awesome defensively to make him for his light hitting for the position.

Unless we plan on filling other positions with big-big time bats long-term, or Murphy suddenly becomes an insane defensive 1rst basemen, it wouldn't make any sense to put him at first base long-term.

Look at video on K-rod and Fuentes, ill promise you that you would want fuentes as the closer next season. About adam dunn he'll never play in new york at left or first because murphy unless theres a tarde is our future first basemen, and manny is going to be our left fielder next yr so....no adam dunn buddy.

weird Hubie...I'd've thought Dunn would be right up your alley...currently undervalued for a pretty decent skill set. (obv I missed those posts as well)

Well at least those are baseball related. Funny thing is we disagree on most of those as well.
I don't mind Dunn to play LF and 1B when Delgado leaves as suming his price is not astronomical.
I think Fuentes is an average closer looking for elite money. Fuentes for 3 years 33 million is the same old Mets mistake. Why go 3 years or more on a guy already in his mid30's? Krod will only cost 3-5 million more a season and even if you go 5 years he will still be younger than Fuentes is right now.
