I see it as the Mets actually have a say as to where a player plays in the major league owned Arizona Fall League. Where as with an unaffiliated winter league, its the winter league team itself that recruits the player and tells him where he's going to play. So saying the Mets have given up on Murphy being the secondbaseman because Murph will be playing winter ball in the outfield just isn't true. I'm sure if the Mets had any say as to where they'd like him to play, they'd ask that he play second. But the winter teams are out to win, not develop players for the majors, so though they may listen, they'll do whats best for themselves. I'd also like to wonder how people think he cant learn the footwork at second yet will be able to learn the footwork at first. Its not easier.

That is the best thing I've imagined in a while. The longer we go without a closer, the more I want k-rod on this team.

K-Rod just bought a house next to Santana. JK. But, this is so done it's old news. Let's sign CC/Burnett/Sheets and Dunn. Then trade for Vazquez. It's over baby.

LOL, he's not better than Maine? Maine right now is a 5 inning pitcher. Vasquez averages well over 200 innings a year.
Let me ask you, do you consider Perez to have been our #3 last season? If so his ERA is right in line, he just pitches more innings.

True. K-Rod, more than Lowe and Fuentes deserves a 5-yr. contract but it doesn't hurt to sign him for 4 now does it? The market has really been in our favor the last couple offseasons (Santana last year)...

I agree Rich...I am 100% for them getting Lowe instead of Garland, and in the limited time Cordero pitched last year he did not look himself
