I want new owners. Worst thing that ever happened to this team was Nelson Doubleday being bought out. The wrong owner remained, unfortunately- and we’re stuck with him.

You would think our (cheap) ownership would be motivated by collaps*ng 2 straight years and by the Phillies winning it all. But they don’t care, more than anything, they want to make a buck- winning is secondary….while its quite the opposite in Yankee land.

That is a joke- with a new stadium, a cash cow of a tv network, skyrocketting ticket prices, and big money from Citiband- well, there is no reason this team can’t have a payroll in the upper 100 millions. Yet we are CUTTING payroll, compared to the last few years? Unacceptable.

Phillies = 125 years…2 Rings…6 NL pennants…8 Division Titles…

Mets average a ring every 24 years…a pennant every 10 years…a division title every 10 years…

Phillies average a ring every 60 years…a pennant every 20 years…a division title every 15 years…

Do you really want to have this argument?

I give this year’s squad their just due…they earned a title…the mets did not and thats that…but please dont develop amnesia and forget all about the past..hehehehehehe
