Jesus Christ drop the gold glove thing. I’d love for you point out where anyone here was estatic that Wright won it. Where are you getting that we care about these awards? Where were the people pining for him to win it? Actually since you accused me of it, show me where _I_ said it was an important award. Heck even when he did win it there were probably 10 complaints about how undeserved it was for every 1 “that’s cool” comment. It’s a dumb, useless argument, so let it go.

And the HR example was to counter your one at bat example. You always use the same example every, single, time you argue “he couldn’t get Murphy home from third he’s unclutch!” well I used the same number of at bats to show a clutch example.

Well, in those spots, I guess that I’d rather have a guy who makes contact and gets lucky than a guy who strikes out.

Because it’s hard to get lucky when you can’t make contact.

No.

You can’t see the difference between an early Aug game and a late Sept game…..much the same way you act like winning a gold glove is some sort of important award.

Pedro is done, and why would we want to watch him be hurt for a fourth straight year?

Not to mention his pretty bad stats in 2006 and abominable stats in 2008—-19 homers in 109 IP?

If the deal is cheap enough, maybe. It does buy time for Neise/Holt etc. to get more prep time in the minors.

Just can’t count on him (based on last year), so consider Pedro to be one of the pool of extra guys to pick from to round out the rotation.

Bigger concern, to me, is whether he can be counted on to get through 6/7 innings on a regualr basis. If he is going to be 5 max routinely, it will just kill the pen again.

I would rather sign Johnson or Wolf (both non-type As, right?) They are lefty, and likely to give you more than Pedro.
