the Mets should try to participate in trying to get Manny Ramirez bcuz he solves your right hand bat problems and your left filed problems as well, so I say get Manny for at least 2-3 years and the mets will be winning ALOT more games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can’t outbid a team for something they don’t want.The Red Sox had zero interest in resigning Pedro and little interest in Beltran.The Yanks didn’t want either player, the proof being they didn’t make an offer to Pedro when he was a free agent and when Beltran went to them hoping to sign for less money than he would have made with The Mets, the Yankees told him no thanks.

Media blowhards talking about CC doesn’t mean the Giants are going to sign him.

The Mets have signed Beltran, Pedro, Wagner and Santana to huge contracts, and appear set to probably sign KRod to one as well. And it does appear that we outbid the Sox and/or Yanks for Beltran and Pedro.

The Mets’ payroll was I believe 3rd in MLB last year, and only significantly trailed the Yanks’.

The offseason just started and we have missed out on NO ONE so far.

But it is good that you keep posting the same paragraph again and again.

The way Matt talks, they should remain the Mets to the Sioux City Mets…Matt, remember that this is a BIG MARKET team- arguably the 2nd richest team in all of baseball…at worst one of the 4 richest.
