we have to make a run at Tex… next years FA first basemen are scary… with him in the middle of the lineup we actually may have someone who will get clutch hits … forget CC we have Santana… get a first basemen that we can plug in for the next decade…. 5yrs for lowe, burnett, ollie is just crazy….

i was wondering what everyone thinks about sheets…the guy will definitely be injured but i think he missed like 5 starts last year? I’d be willing to pay him if hes only going to miss that many starts, but i guess its 50-50 because he could be injured for longer. Vegas anyone?

of course who wouldnt want Teixera but even if the Mets did put up 20 mil a year the yankees will offer 25 and plus we have a very good 1B of our own, albiet only for 1 more year

There is a Chance that we get on, be it a very very small chance. C.C. is all but signed on the Yanks. Unless one of the Cali teams comes and offers 125-135 or 160 for 7 years, he will be on the yanks.

Teixeria wants to play in DC, so that’s the Nationals or O’s. But in reality what’s the next closest city to there that can afford him. NY.

I don’t think the mets would Shell out 20 mil a year for him so i don’t see it happening. But I would love to see it happen.

teixera and sabathia will not sign with the mets and leave more money on the table from better teams like the Yankees, Red Sox and Angels.

Teixera or Sabathia has the same chance of coming to the Mets as Luis Castillo does winning the NL MVP next year.

Well it would be way to late to re-sign or sign anyone if we wait to see if it works.

I say if we can move him for a piece that would indeed help the team out this year or in the future do it. He is unhappy here and in the bullpen. We as fans are unhappy with him here and in the bullpen. So it’s a Win Win for everyone involved. If he goes on and wins 25 games with his new team, ok our scouting and development team should be fired for not letting him start. Changes are he won’t be so effective we will be kicking ourselves.

Trade him for anything. He’s a bargain for many AL teams. 12 mil for one season.

There is lots you can do with him. Include sit his sulking A$% on the Bench.

I want him gone gone gone. Package him and castillo to American Airlines for airline tickets for all I care. I don’t want either on this team.

again. it’s not about the money. they don’t have the right talent it terms of selecting players.

they haven’t won a world series in 22 years with the second most revenue in baseball.

it’s pretty obvious. they’ve had plenty of high picks.
