I’m glad that our players like Delgado and Jose Reyes want to participate in the WBC to represent their countries and communities. That being said, is anyone else concerned that at least 2 of our core players are leaving their team for an extended period during Spring Training?

If I was Omar here is what I would do

Resign Ollie @ 4/44 or something around there
Sign sheets @ 2/24 incentive based deal, he’s a liability but when he is on the field he is a number 2
Sign K-Rod @ 3/45 plus an option he is real good, young, full of emotion
Sign Manny @ 3-4/60-80
offer arbitration to ayala if he accepts then awesome if not hes a type b so we would get compensation if he declines then I would
Sign Beimal @ 2-3/8-12
Trade Heilman and Feliciano for Street that is if the rumor is true and if not then a package similar to this.
Tex would be awesome, but I don’t think it would happen so I’d keep Delgado and castillo as much as I hate to say it will probably be our starting 2nd basemen, but if he is healthy then it won’t be too bad (but thats a BIG if)
I’d keep Sanchez, show, smith, parnel
bench of tatis, murphy, castro, anderson, evans

Omar has a history of striking early….
but there are many options this year and he seems to be practicing, no preaching, patience.
Jets looked lost today and that makes me sad….
