Hey I have 12 year old hitting 70, and use the money.
Throws changeup and slider as well.
Last time out struck out 11 batters in 4 innings.

That is a good question….he was 16 when we signed him, and I think he was the youngest when he came up in 2003….there were a few about as young as him the few previous years I think (Ankiel?), but I think the last guy before him who was way short of his 20th birthday was Andruw Jones, who was barely 19 I think in 1996 when he played his first game….

Agreed :D by the way i didn’t know that Reyes was that young when he was in the farm system :o wasn’t he the youngest player to reach the majors in a while?

I was going to use Pelfrey as an example of another prospect who turned out great, then I remembered he was drafted out of college and wasn’t 17 when we signed him….but he still rules!!
