i am as far from racist as you can get, but it is obvious Omar favors latin player. Did I say i have a problem with that?….NO!….but i’m just stating the obvious. If he had to choose between 2 players of equal value, one white and one hispanic, he would choose the hispanic 9 times out of 10. Hey I’ll say it again. There is nothing wrong with this. Its just plain obvious. Hey, my favorite players are Reyes, Beltran, and Johan. And i hope to god we get K_Rod too.

I think you’re missing the point, MetsFan718. The point is not to have an opinion – it’s to base your opinion on correct statements. You have to have something that proves your opinion is correct, especially when there are statements which prove otherwise. Yup he gives all those Hispanic players more chances like Easley, Marlon Anderson, Darren Oliver, Jeff Conine, Shawn Green … wait there not Hispanic. What washed up Hispanics has he given a chance to? Valentine, Tatis who else? And don’t go listing guys like El Duque or Alou because there were far from washed up when the Mets got them.

I guess he gives no young non Hispanic players a chance either like Murphy, Evans, Neise, Parnell, Kunz, Maine, Pelf.

Your arguments make no sense since your basing it on the fact that the Mets have more Hispanic players on there rosters then some teams which is the most dumbest thing to base your opinion on. I mean you have no insight what so ever to Omar or the Mets where you can say Omar gives Hispanics more chances then players of other races.

So I guess if at your job you hired more white people we can judge you and say you’re a raciest and give white people more chances since you hire more whites then other races? We will judge you on that instead of the facts like hmm maybe only white people applied or only the white people where qualified. I am just saying you have no insight into Omar to make a comment about him like that.
