If you bought into the “Nick Evans will be a Star” koolaid drinking, then you are beyond hope.
Nick Evans will NEVER hit 20 HRS or bat 300. He is a puch and judy hitter who is at best a utility player not even worth being in the same sentence with Benny Agbayani!

I don’t really care for him either. It’s just the lesser of the evils to me. I would rather have him than Ibanez, Manny or Dye considering the other impacts.

And affraid of the wall or not, at least he can get to the wall which is more to say than many of our other LF options.

Reyes, Abreu, Wright, Delgado, Beltran, Church, is a pretty impressie 1-6. I could deal with Reyes, Beltran, Delgado, Wright, Abreu as well.

I agree with stickguy on one key point, I hate Abreu. I won’t bore you with an explanation, I’ve just never liked the guy and when he was a Phillie I enjoyed yelling nasty things at him more than almost anyone else. His fear of all things outfield wall also makes me shiver, but as trs86 notes the dude has a nice power/speed blend and just gets on base. In the free agent era I root quite a bit for laundry anyway. If he could be signed short term, I could deal with it. Where would he bat? 2nd?
