Plax has had the cops sent to his home for domestic disputes… his wife claiming he was physical. So I don’t know if he’s not a violent person.

I think it’s a fair deal. What I think we can take away from the Pedroia deal is that players and teams are worried about how the economy will impact them in coming years.

I was hearing on the radio how FAs this year may accept one year deals, in the hope for an economic turnaround, and hopefully land better deals next year. I personally wouldn’t aree with this strategy, because the economy will probably be worse next year.

You are right on Crawford, he is awesome and did great for me on one of my teams. Still, like I’ve said before, unless we’re trading for Jesus, the Mets will never trade F-Mart.

Right because the Phillies rotation was that much better in the #4 and 5 spot last year. That’s just silly. You would have 5 starters that could go 200 innings with a decent ERA. That’s enough for me this year.

Yeah the SOx got Pedroia at a bargain… he’s the heart and soul of that team and they’ve locked him for 6 years at less than 7 mil per. That’s crazy… seems like Pedroia could have held out for more. But whatever, maybe he’s one of the guys that so thankful for what he’s got that he’ll play in Boston at a discount.

Awesome so now we have 2 lefty specialists and 2 righty specialists!

Take F-Mart out and it might be fairer. Bardford stinks, i know he was effective 2 years ago for the mets. He stunk for the O’s and was good in a “Specialized” role down the stretch for the Rays. We have 3 of those already!

The Mets outfield defensively would be crazy if that happened.

The two-headed monster of Schneider/Castro usually sounds good. However, at some point (my guess is April 21), Castro will be out for two months. So replace Schneider/Castro with Schneider/Cancel and you’re looking more realistic.

I’m saying he dropped the ball if the initial reports are correct. If Brett Lillibridge is the centerpiece of this deal, it’s fair to say he dropped the ball. We saw him play. He has the power of Luis Castillo, with a body of Craig Counsell. He will be nothing special.

I’m not saying we should overpay and tie up our rotation for years to come. I am saying we are nowhere near a division title (much less a world series) with Randy Wolf and Andy Sonnastine in the back end of our rotation.

How can you say he dropped the ball when you don’t even know what prospects were in it? LOL.

And you are saying that we should over pay and tie up our rotation for years to come just because the market is out of whack this year?
Give me Wolf and Sonnanstine for our rotation this year and maybe next year things are more reasonable.
