I watched Glavine pitch his last inning for the Mets, and not once did I lose my appetite. I am a *serious* pressure player.
LOL, good one
I’m not sure if this is the proper venue, but I do have a question pertaining to Mets hot stove issues. I haven’t been through this site super-extensively so this may be a dead issue, but I’m wondering why through all the off-season buzz have we not heard a lick about Ben Sheets. Yes, I understand the injury risk, and perhaps the less-then-courageous performance for the Brewers down the stretch last season (I’m thinking taking himself out of games, particularly the one against the Mets), but this is a guy who has put up an era close to an even 3 last year (3.09) and chucked close to 200 innings (198). I mean if there’s so much attention given to Burnett who has comparable health problems shouldn’t we at least be considering him? Or blogging about why we’re not considering him?
Crisp, his name comes up ALOT on this blog.
By the bloggers of course
Matt, why are you wearing Phillies colors?
The first game at Citi Field is against the Padres. I think K-Rod can handle that lineup.
Matt, first of all, once again HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Secondly, DANG – video Metsblog Mailbag – you’ve come a long way, baby! And, I remember when you first started doing some TV bits here and there, before your deal with SNY and you asking for tips for your understandably nervous and tentative style. You are seasoned now, man! Nice going!
Patience everyone.. Remember it was patience that won us Johan last year for not much more than $
