Relief Pitcher: Mets to Meet with K-Rod Tonight
Mets GM Omar Minaya will meet with Francisco Rodriguez and his agent, Paul Kinzer, tonight in Las Vegas, ‘and he is expected to make an offer,’ reports SI.com.
…the buzz in baseball seems to suggest the Mets will offer K-Rod a three-year deal, with an option for a fourth year, all worth roughly $12 million per season…
Multiple reports continue to suggest Rodriguez is the team’s first choice, followed by Brian Fuentes.
Earlier, Minaya told reporters that he will meet with Rodriguez, Fuentes and Trevor Hoffman at various points this week.

…Jeff Wilpon is in Las Vegas, which would suggest the Mets mean business…from what i can gather, like heyman reports, minaya and wilpon intend to make an official offer to K-Rod…
