Why doesn’t anyone like Dunn? He is Kong Kingman all over again. If you like strikeouts as rally killers in the middle of the line-up, bt all means get him. Obviously you will get your share of HR’s, but don’t hold your breath looking for that timely single.

I used to follow the Marlins. Willis filled out a lot and lost a ton of flexibility and had to change his delivery. His delivery gave him a ton of deception, which he no longer has. He’s not the same pitcher.

Placido Polanco has another year on his contract and he is still good at baseball. I don’t think they would touch Castillo.

Here’s a theory….

Omar talks to Detroit about taking on Dontrelle Willis contract… he is owed $10 million I think this season, and and $12 million next season… in exchange for taking on Luis Castillo. Tigers have been looking to do something with D-train since the wheels fell off earlier this season, and they do lessen their payroll for this season by taking on Luis Castillo (and who knows… maybe he can play a decent 2b for them) he would rake in front of Magglio and Cabrera, and actually might serve a purpose there, and the D-train might be able to be fixed given time and effort (and maybe the same thing Warthen did for OP before he lost his concentration again).

Was there ever a worse signing in the history of the fracnhise than Castillo?

Guy was in decline and underwent surgery on both knees last winter so we lock him up for 4 years.

i think signing hudson would be doing the same thing we did with castillo. signing an injury prone 2nd basemen when we have bigger fish to fry. And Gina you know I’m right with you about getting Dunn but I think we both know that isn’t happening, and Ill never understand why not.
