Pat Burrell would like to play for the Giants, reports the San Mercury News, though he is not a top priority for San Francisco.

Meanwhile, the Braves are interested in acquiring a power-hitting outfielder, reports MLB.com.  According to the report, Cardinals OF Rick Ankiel and Brewers OF Corey Hart are on their radar, followed by Marlins OF Jeremy Hermida.

The Dodgers have offered a three-year, $17 million deal to free-agent OF Casey Blake, reports the Los Angeles Daily News, and could announce a deal as soon as tonight.

the buzz around baseball had been that if the Twins or Dodgers offer three years, blake will eventually take it

Lastly, if the the Brewers sign Mike Lamb, they could look to trade OF-3B Bill Hall, according to FoxSports.com.

I was hoping that Burrell would move to the AL so he can leave us alone already :( unless we sign him and bench him for every hit he’s had against us.

I go to school up in Madison, Wisconsin…trust me, the mood in Wisconsin is that they don’t need to sign MIke Lamb to trade Hall. They’d LOVE to trade Hall, he looks completely lost, and swings at everything.

if the Dodgers sign Blake, does this take them out of signing Manny?

I went to Wisconsin-Madison last year. Is that where you go?

I dont quiet understand why this is taking so long… Sign K-Rod to a 4yr deal with an option, contract breaking down something like this, Yr1-12mill, Yr2-12mill, Yr3-13mill, Yr4-13mill, Yr5- 12mill (option yr)… Overall 5yrs for 62mill… A little less then what he is lookin for…

Then package Heilman, Feliciano and Evans for Street…

Give Cordero a 1yr deal for 2.5 mill with a team option…

K-Rod in the 9th
Street in the 8th
Cordero in the 7th
Shoe
Parnell
Stokes
Smith

Not to mention, if everything works out for Wags he might be back for late september and ‘crossing my fingers’ the postseason…

That, I think would fix the Mets bullpen…

Casey Blake gets to make $17 million playing baseball. Somebody shoot me now. Why didn’t my parents send me to baseball camp?
