What about getting some quality guys to bridge the gap between the starters and, potentially, K-Rod? That's why I will not get excited until AFTER all of the following things happen: 1. We sign K-Rod 2. We arrange for the disappearances of Aaron Heilman, Scott Schoeneweis, Pedro Feliciano, Brian Stokes and Luis Ayala 3. Replace the displaced middle relievers above with quality ones—Juan Cruz and Huston Street are a couple of suggestions in the right direction. 4. Get another quality starting pitcher to fill the void by the likely departures of Pedro Martinez and Oliver Perez 5. Get rid of Luis Castillo and bring in or promote a legitimate second baseman 6. Get a right-handed power bat for one of the corner outfield spots, to balance an overly left-handed lineup 7.
