As much as I would like to see Sheets, what do you guys think of signing back Ollie and Pedro. Obviously it would be 1 year deal for Pedro.

I would rather see the Mets going out to get Sheets than Ollie, but signing Pedro for 1 year deal would be a good signing

Rather see CC in the AL then the NL.

As far as the Yanks trying to sign Lowe. Again rather see him in the AL then in the NL unless it is pitching for the Mets. I don’t think the Yanks will get Lowe, Sheets, and AJ to go along with CC.

I don’t see Sheets or AJ going there. I think unless the Red Sox’s step up Lowe will be a Yank along with CC, and I don’t care one bit.

From what I heard on the radio, Heyman said that Yanks and Lowe are pretty close to coming to an agreement. Terms are something like 4/66-68. Also Yanks are trying to sign either Burnett or Sheets in addition to those two, most likely Sheets.

This sounds crazy. I really wonder the best Omar can to is Garland. I would hate to see Sheets going to Yanks and the Mets end up with Garland. He’s a #4 SP at best, they need a solid #2-3 SP. With Lowe, Burnett (Braves) and Sheets gone, there are no #2-3 SP out there.

mlbtr says the Stanks are now looking to add lowe and burnett or sheets? Lets see, that would be over 70/millin or so a year for 3 FA SPs.

it’s a wonder there isn’t more talk about a salary cap! Since the luxury tax doesn’t seem to be an issue for the 1 team it was implemented for.

Oh, please stay away from Garland! If there is money in the budget for him, spend it on a position player, and get cheaper options (marquis, wolf, etc.) that are just as good. Or go a little higher and snag sheets.

I really want Omar remaking the team now, since this is the year. Players are available, other teams don’t have money, etc.

and, expect one SP to come via trade.
