Earlier today, at FoxSports.com, Ken Rosenthal wrote, ‘The Mets have shown interest in trading for Dodgers OF Juan Pierre.’
However, when asked about Pierre and Andruw
Jones, Mets GM Omar Minaya told the Los Angeles Times, “Pierre doesn’t fit for us – and Andruw Jones, we’d have to create a spot for him.”
That said, tonight on SNY, SI.com’s Jon Heyman acknowledged that the Mets have been in talks with the Dodgers.
Speaking of outfielders…
The Marlins are apparently in talks with the Reds and Rays regarding OF Jeremy Hermida, the details of which you can follow at MLB Trade Rumors.

good
Juan Pierre = Luis Castillo 2.0
Andruw Jones and Beltran would consist in a Cameron esque face injury. No thanks. Not to mention that he looks like he hasn’t done a cardio workout in 6 years.
Outstanding letter from Omar Minaya to the fans in the Flushing Flash today.
i heard the brew crew might trade cameron – not that i was a big fan of his – i know beltran certainly wasnt lol
I hate that letter minaya sent out today…how about you get Street or Capps, and Lowe over here then you can email me a letter :)
Why cant we sign Milton Bradley?
Since Minaya denied interest in Pierre *and* A. Jones, maybe the rumors of a catching upgrade means Russell Martin?
I thought of Martin but t’s not likely. Maybe they have another reliever we would be interested in. No doubt I would do Castillo for Jones. Especially if Omar would consider letting Murphy share time at 2B with a guy like Grudzy.
Praise Jesus!
OMG NOT THE SAME MISTAKE THE DODGERS MADE ON HIM PLZ NO pierre maybe but he dont fit on the team of the lineup NO NO NO
IF WE NEED OUTFIEL FRANKLIN GUTIERREZ
ENNNNNDDDDDYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In all seriousness, probably a good trade, but damn I hate to see Endy and Joe Smith go, for sentimental reasons mostly since I claim ignorance on how good the other guys are.
Has Ken Rosenthal been right about any of the rumors he has posted?
