No doubt it is so that Omar can used this saved money towards free agents, probably a pitcher (Ollie or Lowe) or a hitter (Hudson - if we can get rid of Castillo - or, yes, maybe Manny - I think Omar will make a run at him if he's still available after all the other issues are taken care of and we still have some money left).
