I heard someone say they are sick of hearing about how hard DWright is working. That person or those people are idiots. David Wright is the best type of player there is out there. I wish we had 25 David Wrights. I’m so sick of it. He wants nothing but to win a championship as is willing to do whatever it takes to do so. If you have a problem is DW, you have a problem with yourself.

Dont sign Kawaksami if it long or expensive (look at Saito if the price is right instead)

Jump on a free agent starter quick if you arnt’t going to make a trade Omar

Look at the less epensive alternative of Sheets Garland Ollie Garcia or Cabrea

I’m not sure Sanchez and Campillo are really that surprising. Pedro’s projections are always skewed because of how insanely dominant he was in his prime, projects usually are inaccurate for the very young and the very old. That’s probably why Wakefield numbers are weird too. I’m not sure about Hughes though, and are Zito’s projections as a starter or a reliever?

Over at Rotoauthority.com they list Bill James projections for “some interesting starters they project to post an ERA under 4.00 in 2009.” To say the least they are quite interesting.

• Barry Zito – 3.94
• Tim Wakefield – 3.91
• Jonathan Sanchez – 3.90
• Jorge Campillo – 3.86
• Pedro Martinez – 3.36
• Phil Hughes – 3.35

“Hughes may be the Yankees’ sixth starter heading into 2009, but they have him third in ERA in the American League. How do they think he’ll pull this off? With an 8.8 K/9, 3.3 BB/9, 0.65 HR/9, and 7.92 H/9. Hughes has not demonstrated those skills in his 106.2 big league innings.”

delgados 11 mill and wagners 10.5 mill comes off teh books for the 2010 season so thats 21.5 mill that can be paid to manny they jsut gota deal with going over budget this season just this 1 time than after this season his contract will be within our budget
