I have no idea what's the real reason, but it seems like the Mets have always been out to out-do themselves. The script in blue, surrounded by orange, with a dark shadow, with more white borders. I mean, how many borders are enough? Does 'gaudy' mean anything to their mgmt? Perhaps not. For example, just walking through the Trump Towers the other day, I couldn't help but wonder how something so gaudy could have come to be. They really need to truck down their uni to something simple. Check out Penn State, the Yankees, or any other number of unis which honor tradition, and don't look like clown suits. I'm a big fan of the Murphy at second although its a very small minority who agree with me, could he really be worse than Castillo, it also seems that most of the Mets organization wants Murphy to play at least some position and if we sign a left field than where would Murphy play? I think there must be plans for Murphy but i'm not sure what I agree.
