i do TRS, but the guy is 31, and that was the only season he’s hit over 300!!!! how is it potential when he’s over 30!! he had a career year that’s all, now i agree he can create havoc in the bases, and can be good in our lineup and score a lot of runs, but if he hits 300 would be a major plus, let alone 330.. also, the past 2 years he’s average 114 games.. he’s been getting hurt

also remember something, schneider was hurt early in the season, even he can give us 15 home runs.. or maybe we get 20 out of him and castro, but guys, the most interesting player to watch is jose reyes, i think that finnaly this year, he will get recognition as the true team’s MVP.. i think he will have a MONSTER year..

so if he’s a 290 hitter why would you expect 330? i agree he’s a good player, but i think that by morales not being proven, we might lose in that trade.. and i want wiggy too, but not as out 5th hitter, if anything 6th or 7th..

TRS, you also need to stop having conversations with yourself! J/K dude.

Also, to counter the “who replaces Delgados HRs” arguement, the team does.

HRs aren’t important by themselves. Runs are. And the “new TRS” lineup could score a bunch. It would still put up respectable HR figures, but spread over the whole line up (other than Schneider). So a lot of 20 HR guys to replace 1 30 HR guy.

And offset by way more OBP, speed, and consistancy (hopefully). More of an NL offense instead of an AL offense (Delgado).

Reyes/Figgens/Wright/Bletran? They will set a record for SBs by the top 4 in an order (if they hit that way).
