The interest in Sullivan as a defensive outfielder doesn’t make sense to me. Speaking of outfieldiers, I believe that not signing Ibanez was the biggest off-season mistake of ’09. I just have a gut feeling that he will be a Mets killer with the Phillies.

You want to big team players-stop acting like a bunch of cheapos and get the players needed to compete. If not-sell the team otherwise your palatial ballpark will be empty next year…

No in a package for Roberts. Most likely would not happen but the O’s would need a leadoff hitter and a 2B. Castillo at 3/9 would be cheap enough.
I would not do Fmart straight up for 1 year of Roberts but if that deal moved Castillo I would be more likely to deal a top prospect.

Rocco Baldelli has played in 92, 35, and 28 games in the last 3 complete seasons. Hamstrings, all sorts of physical ailments…big guy, lots of power, can’t keep on the field at 25, 26, and 27 years of age.

Sure it does. If the O’s would take Castillo for 3 million a year. But even if they did not, Roberts makes 8 million and only has 1 year left. Not 4/40.
